Thank you to all who participated in our Spring Raffle. With your generosity our profit from the raffle was $52,526.35 of which 75% will be sent to Brother’s Brother Organization and 25% to the Knights of Columbus, Ukrainian Fund. One hundred percent of that money will go directly to help the people of the Ukraine either in their country or at the border of Poland and Romania. Thank you for your continued support of Blessed Trinity Parish and our parish outreach to the people of the Ukraine.
PRAYER FOR UKRAINE
God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen.
Gather to pray and assemble humanitarian hygiene kits!
On Tuesday evening, May 10th, we will gather at 6:30pm in St. Sylvester Church to pray for victims and refugees of the war in Ukraine.
We will then gather in the hall downstairs to assemble 500 hygiene kits that will be boxed and taken to Brother's Brother who will then ship them to the refugees both in Ukraine and neighboring ciuntries of Poland and Romania who are caring for them.
Everything needed for the kits will be provided so bring your loving hands and prayers! Items for the kits are being provided through our partnership with our following parish organizations:
St. Vincent de Paul
Confraternity of Christian Mothers
Ladies of Charity
If you are interested in providing something to send to the people of Ukraine, they are in need of newer fleece blankets for the refugees at the reception centers in Poland and Romania. you can bring them to the prayer service and help package them to be delivered by Brother's Brother with the hygiene kits.
Come join us!
Where: St. Sylvester Church, Brownsville Road
When: Tuesday evening starting with prayer at 6:30pm
Assembly to begin at 7:00pm in the hall
